My name is Nik Cook; I pilot the ship here at Nexus as creative director and event manager. I have a passion for special effects that reaches back some 15 years, mainly involved in the Live Action Role-Play and Entertainment & Music Industries. I also have experience in Event Organisation, Promotion, Performance Art, and Media Production, and have been fortunate enough to have my work seen briefly on Satellite TV as well as the BBC! I complete most of the prop and FX work you see here myself, but we are also able to combine skills from a dedicated team of experienced artists, performers, model-makers and wood-workers, as and when required. Whether your proposal is large or small, custom built or one of our standard items, we treat each piece individually and encourage you to discuss your specific requirements with us in detail to ensure you get exactly what you want. |
| We are a creative outlet, driven by our passion, and are always looking to evolve our skills in new directions. We are entering into the ‘Costuming’ hobby, and myself in process of joining the ‘Imperial 501st Legion’, something I’m very excited about! You can see my Stormtrooper armour I’m currently working on to the right. Please note this armour is not produced by us.
